System: Cthulhu Hack
GM: Richard August
People have been disappearing close to the canals of a major city. They vanish during the day or late at night. They are old, young, men and women. The only thing that connects them are the old, dark waterways snaking through the city’s heart. What is the cause of these disappearances, and how can they be stopped? Maybe you’ll find out. Or maybe you’ll end up another victim of the polluted waters.
Content Note: This is a dark adventure, based (loosely) on actual events. If it’s too much, don’t hesitate to let me know. Definitely adults only.
System: Gamma World 1st edtion
GM: Chris Hart.
At the end of the 21st Century, a devastating nuclear war all but destroyed human civilisation. The world was plunged in a Dark Age following the collapse of governments and technological advancements set to reverse. A chaotic, dangerous environment that barely resembles pre-apocalypse Earth.
Legion of Gold is a chance to explore the region of Horn and find adventure.
More information: Gamma World is an old school RPG that was published by Tactical Studies Rules (TSR) in the 80s with a post-apocalyptic setting. It was closely aligned with D&D of the time, but player characters have mutations rather than magical abilities.

System: WFRP (Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay) 4E
GM: Roderick Hamilton
Every year, Baron Von Mark’s tithes all come rumbling into town on one big old Wain. It’s heavily guarded, kept under lock and key. His best troops patrol the grounds. His basement vault is impregnable.
Nobody’s ever stolen so much as a pfennig from the Baron.
The Great Wain Robbery is a classic Heist movie, set in the Warhammer Old World, where you will play one of a band of no-good halfling criminal masterminds seeking one big score to set them up for life.
As part of this band of miniature mobsters, you will meticulously plan and prepare to execute a cunning and elaborate ruse, then set the heist running to see how it plays out.
For fans of capers, escapades, and horribly elaborate heists.
System: Best Left Buried
GM: Stephen Blythe
The isolated village of Magda is famed for its reclusive priestess with miraculous healing powers. Her powers are said to be granted by two mermaids which only the most faithful are allowed to see. The ailing sister of one of your party went to seek healing some weeks ago. She has not returned and now you’ve heard rumours of others who have vanished in Magda. You have set off to find out what has happened, hoping you’re not too late.
Best Left Buried is a fantasy game that builds in the horror of dungeon delving. A simple system in which terror is as much a threat as a goblin’s sword or a dragon’s breath!
System: River of Heaven
GM: John Ossoway
Mars has fallen to the Renouncers, who continue to wage their relentless holy war against intelligent machines and their allies.
The Martian Space Tether is down, and as Renouncer war machines ravage the surface, a network of orbital kill-sats capable of destroying any ship approaching the red planet performs an effective orbital interdiction against Hegemony space assets.
Olympus Mons is the site of an important node in the command and control infrastructure for the Mars Planetary Defence Network. It is also the location of a Visser Cube – a traversable wormhole paired with a twin in your home system of Alpha Centauri.
Both of the Visser Cubes are currently offline.
You are a squad of Hegemony Marines. Best of the best. Your mission profile is clear:
- Get to the surface.
- Penetrate the Olympus Mons Citadel.
- Take and hold the Visser Cube chamber
- Realign the wormholes, allowing the Hegemony to deploy troops to the surface of Mars directly from your homeworld.
So check those suit seals, warm up your smart rifles and show me your war face.
It’s game time.
River of Heaven is a D100 Science fiction game published by D101 Games set in a far future where humankind nears transhumanity, using nanoaugmentation, and the Singularity Event is just over the horizon.
System: The Code of the Spacelanes
GM: Simon Burley.
An “adventure that never was”, based on the classic British TV Space Opera. The freedom fighting crew of the powerful, enigmatic, alien spaceship “Liberator” soon won’t be the only ones with access to the unbelievable technology of an ancient race.
The idea of Ancient Martians has always been something of an urban legend. Now – it seems – all the stories may have been true. “Something” has been unearthed on Mars. A secret so powerful it threatens to tear The Federation apart with civil infighting, with the victor gaining the ability to grind the galaxy under their heel. (Probably the spiked, white, leather heel of Supreme Commander Servelan.)
What’s needed is a brave, mad (suicidal) dash into Earth system – with its defence systems and fleets of Federation pursuit ships – to seize or destroy the enigmatic discovery from under the noses of the various Federation factions before it can foment a conflict that would envelop and kill millions of innocents.
Seven against the Federation. What else is new?
Play any character from any of the four seasons of the original series. What does it matter if Oleg Gan never met Del Tarrant? Jenna and Soolin would probably be fast friends! I’ve character details for all of them, but you’re free to amend them – if you think I’ve underestimated Blake’s leadership abilities – or design your own original Hero.
Played using my own THE CODE OF THE SPACELANES rules. Just 2d6, frighteningly easy, fast and fun – with magic happening every time you roll a double.
System: Stargate 5e
GM: Paul Baldowski
As more and more worlds rise up against the tyranny of the Goa’uld overlords, Stargate Command established an off-world training base named Phoenix Site. Headed by General Loyer, this site brings together and trains freedom fighters, trained to defend the Galaxy and bring new lost colonies and alien worlds into the fold. You are part of SG-20, called to a morning briefing for a new mission – to travel through the Stargate to P3X-229 and make first contact.
System: Dead of Night
GM: Udo Kaiser
It is the 18.07.1997 and you all enjoy the 100-year celebrations of Stewart Creek. Jens Adamson, your great-great-grandfather, was one of the founders of the town. The Gold Rush brought him here and he thrived. You, the last remaining members of his family, are important and honoured guests at the festivities. What a great day…
This game uses the Dead of Night rpg system by Steampowered publishing. It is a highly regarded indie-rpg, that is tightly focused on giving a horror experience.
