GPM dates for October, November 2019 and Jan 2020

It’s like buses this time out, with not one but three dates!  One of them is jolly exciting, so read on!

Sunday 27th October Our usual 1 pm to 5 pm meet up. If you want to GM contact me over the next couple of days and I’ll open player sign up on Sunday evening.

Sunday 10th November. Since this date is post-Grogmeet, a one-day RPG meet up mainly for old games, which runs on Saturday, I’m opening up attendance to Grogmeeters who’ve not yet fled Manchester to go home.

So if you are coming please let me know, by registering here.

I will be asking everyone to do this so I can plan GMs in advance to match numbers.

So far I have myself, Roderick and Chris (aka Dirk the Dice) who is Grogmeet organiser are down to GM. We need more GMs. So let me know if you would like to when you sign up.

December – No Go Play this month, while Fanboy is happy to have us. I’m going to be swamped with end of term school Christmas concerts.

GPM Winter Con 2019, Saturday 11th January.
To celebrate Go Play Manchester’s 1st Birthday, we shall be holding a one-day mini-con at Fanboy 3. 10 am start – 5 pm finish, with an hour or so for lunch. Two slots, with a possible social afterwards.

I floated this one past some of our regular GM’s so we’ve already got three or so GMs, but with Hedi offering all six tables on the ground floor and me inviting folk from far and wide, we are going to need more GMs. You lot get first dibs, but you need to let me know by return since when I announce it to the wider audience, I’m sure there be no shortage of offers.

Like the Nov GPM, I’m asking everyone to pre-sign via a form on the mini-con’s page.

(BTW advertise this page and let your friends know)

Like a normal GPM, all games will be pre-signed before the event, so you can sit down and play.

I am looking forward to seeing you on the day(s).

All the best

Bandits, Bandits!

System: Pathfinder 2nd ed

GM: Guy Milner
The village of Rosecrown has always had it tough, nestled in the foothills and isolated from civilisation apart from the Rose Road through the hilly High Forest…. but it has always been able to deal with the bandit attacks around its borders. Recently, though, the attacks have grown in intensity, and they have sent word to look for stout adventurers to help their stretched militia to deal with the problem. But is it all it seems?
This is a 1st level PF2 adventure.  A straightforward introduction to a tactical system that does interesting things with an action economy and makes the most of gridded combat. No previous experience needed!

Remembrance

System: Liminal
GM: Newt

It’s a windy Autumn’s evening at no. 4 Tandle Hill Road in Oldham. Dark clouds loom over the house and you won’t be surprised if rains all through the night and into the next day.

Earlier it was bright sunshine, and you left the patio door open for the guys from Magic Mark’s Carpets to get the new carpet for the upstairs bedroom into the house. So when the winds started up they blew in not only leaves but an uninvited guest. There’s a scruffy tramp sat on the sofa with twigs and leaves in his big bushy beard and wild brown hair. He’s saying he’s can’t remember where he left “a very important thing”. It’s somewhere in the park at the end of the road. He wounded it, put it somewhere safe and then went and had a drink at the Halfway House Inn. It’s all a bit awkward and in the pause, he asks you “have you got any Strongbow?”

Liminal is an ENnie-nominated tabletop roleplaying game of modern day British fantasy, where the Hidden World and mundane world collide. In this game you play the Liminals of the title, you might be a magician, a werewolf, an occult investigator, or even a Dhampir stuck between the mortal and vampire state.

Remembrance is a sequel of sorts to A Walk in the Park that ran at last June’s Go Play. However, you need not have played in that adventure to take part in this standalone adventure.

Go Play Manchester Sunday 8th Sept Call for GMs!

The Great Wain Robbery

Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 4th EditionGM: Roderick.
System: WFRP 4th Edition

Every year, a wain comes in, loaded down with a whole year’s taxes from Baron Von Mark’s lands. Every year, it’s under heavy guard 24/7, stored in secure vaults, and completely untouchable. Every year, that money goes into the Baron’s coffers, never to be seen again. Except this year, we’re going to steal it.

THE GREAT WAIN ROBBERY is a halfling heist adventure, where players will collaborate and connive to make off with a big load of cash in the Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay setting. players will be part of a band of expert halfling criminals, brought together for the heist of a lifetime, and will plan every step of the heist before executing the plan, and hopefully getting away with the money and all their extremities intact.

Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay uses a percentile game system, which will be used in a streamlined form for this session, which will focus on plotting, planning, and blaggery over brawn.
