System: The Cthulhu Hack
GM: Paul Baldowski
A visit to the University of Navarra, located in Pamplona, Spain, in search of a rare book—the chronicles of a monk who claimed to have witnessed visions of other worlds—leads to a grim investigation.
A short investigation for The Cthulhu Hack, set in the modern-day.
Paul is one of our Special Guests. Come play a game with the creator of the Cthulhu Hack – a rules-light horror game which goes back to the original HP Lovecraft stories for its inspiration.
In the Kingdom of Tura when monarchs die, they make the final journey to the Isle of the Dead. It is an arduous journey that only royalty may make. The corpse is prepared by the priesthood of Tura and then is taken overland to a secret port, where a boatman takes the body to the Isle and from there it passes through the Door to Eternity into parts unknown.
Only the Brotherhood of Tura knows that something has gone wrong with the delivery of the last King. Now they must get a group of foreigners together to find out what has happened. Perhaps these chosen ones will get the opportunity to peak through the Door of Eternity and see what is on the other side?
Mythras is a D100 based roleplaying game of Mythic Fantasy. This adventure is a straight forward introduction to the system and its way of presenting living mythology. It features characters who come from a vibrant and living culture, exploring a realm where the grim reality of death is all too every day.
Inspired by this painting by Arnold Böcklin, and the brooding orchestra music of Rachmaninov.
System: Dark Heresy/WFRP 4e hybrid

We came for the tithe. It came for us.
In the grim darkness of the far future, the Imperium of Man spans a million worlds. Vast fleets patrolling the stars, trillions of soldiers under arms, and wondrous feats of near-magical engineering are all that stands between mankind and annihilation. …and someone’s got to pay for all that. And someone else has to work out, “how much?” That’s where you come in.
In this Lovecraft-inspired session, you will play one of a small band of bureaucrats and skilled civilians assigned the onerous task of inspecting and assessing the island settlements of The Brume, a remote archipelago on a recently reconquered human colony. This session will focus on investigation and mystery, with the potential for action and gore.
This is one of the games for Grim Con 2020 – registration open now.
System: Tales from the Loop
GM: Guy Milner
You are kids, ages between 10 and 15. It is sometime in the 1980s. You live in the Mälaren Islands, a suburb on the coast not far from Stockholm, Sweden. Nothing ever happens here. Work hard at school, and you might get a job at the Facility for Research in High Energy Physics (“The Loop”) and have a comfortable life doing what your parents do. Except for that one day, in the long, hot summer of 1984, you hear the pigeons near the kiosk talk.
We’ll be using Roll20 and Google Meet with video.
System: Cthulhu Hack
GM: Richard August
People have been disappearing close to the canals of a major city. They vanish during the day or late at night. They are old, young, men and women. The only thing that connects them are the old, dark waterways snaking through the city’s heart. What is the cause of these disappearances, and how can they be stopped? Maybe you’ll find out. Or maybe you’ll end up another victim of the polluted waters.
Content Note: This is a dark adventure, based (loosely) on actual events. If it’s too much, don’t hesitate to let me know. Definitely adults only.
System: Best Left Buried

The isolated village of Magda is famed for its reclusive priestess with miraculous healing powers. Her powers are said to be granted by two mermaids which only the most faithful are allowed to see. The ailing sister of one of your party went to seek healing some weeks ago. She has not returned and now you’ve heard rumours of others who have vanished in Magda. You have set off to find out what has happened, hoping you’re not too late.
Best Left Buried is a fantasy game that builds in the horror of dungeon delving. A simple system in which terror is as much a threat as a goblin’s sword or a dragon’s breath!

It is the 18.07.1997 and you all enjoy the 100-year celebrations of Stewart Creek. Jens Adamson, your great-great-grandfather, was one of the founders of the town. The Gold Rush brought him here and he thrived. You, the last remaining members of his family, are important and honoured guests at the festivities. What a great day…
This game uses the Dead of Night rpg system by Steampowered publishing. It is a highly regarded indie-rpg, that is tightly focused on giving a horror experience.

You are space truckers on the starfreighter USCSS Montero, running “the Gauntlet”—the trade route between Anchorpoint Station and the Frontier. Your ship’s cargo hold is packed with dozens of tanks of the rare gas Helium-3—a special order for a Weyland-Yutani corporate account on Sutter’s World. On-route, the Montero’s sensors developed a glitch before you left Anchorpoint and sporadically pinged contact with a sensor reflection before you activated the displacement drive and went FTL. Now, you are just awakening from hypersleep, ready to deliver your goods to the colony of Sutter’s World.

GM: John Ossoway
What should have been a routine patrol has ended with a Ranger flyer wrecked in a dust storm—20 klicks inside the Titan Quarantine Zone.
With your fellow rangers stranded inside the Zone, your station was preparing to deploy a search team to their last known position, but someone high up in government has had other ideas. Rumour is the patrol officers saw something they shouldn’t have, and now you have been ordered to leave your comrades to their fate.
But fate seems to be favouring you. The dust storm is preventing the powers that be from tasking an orbiting kill-sat to target and drop a tungsten-steel rod on the crash site. There is a window of opportunity.
Can your team reach the downed rangers in time—get them the hell out of there while their cortical stacks are still intact and perhaps learn what they saw?
Eclipse Phase is a game of Sci-Fi Transhuman Horror, using many of the troupes from modern cyber-punk like Altered Carbon.
