The Martian Space Tether is down, and as Renouncer war machines ravage the surface, a network of orbital kill-sats capable of destroying any ship approaching the red planet performs an effective orbital interdiction against Hegemony space assets.
Olympus Mons is the site of an important node in the command and control infrastructure for the Mars Planetary Defence Network. It is also the location of a Visser Cube – a traversable wormhole paired with a twin in your home system of Alpha Centauri.
Both of the Visser Cubes are currently offline.

You are space truckers on the starfreighter USCSS Montero, running “the Gauntlet”—the trade route between Anchorpoint Station and the Frontier. Your ship’s cargo hold is packed with dozens of tanks of the rare gas Helium-3—a special order for a Weyland-Yutani corporate account on Sutter’s World. On-route, the Montero’s sensors developed a glitch before you left Anchorpoint and sporadically pinged contact with a sensor reflection before you activated the displacement drive and went FTL. Now, you are just awakening from hypersleep, ready to deliver your goods to the colony of Sutter’s World.

What should have been a routine patrol has ended with a Ranger flyer wrecked in a dust storm—20 klicks inside the Titan Quarantine Zone.
With your fellow rangers stranded inside the Zone, your station was preparing to deploy a search team to their last known position, but someone high up in government has had other ideas. Rumour is the patrol officers saw something they shouldn’t have, and now you have been ordered to leave your comrades to their fate.
But fate seems to be favouring you. The dust storm is preventing the powers that be from tasking an orbiting kill-sat to target and drop a tungsten-steel rod on the crash site. There is a window of opportunity.
Can your team reach the downed rangers in time—get them the hell out of there while their cortical stacks are still intact and perhaps learn what they saw?
